Exclusive distribution of Atridox® and Atrisorb®

Kleinostheim, 25 November 2003 - curasan AG has today concluded an agreement with Atrix Laboratories GmbH, a subsidiary of the US enterprise Atrix Laboratories, Inc. (Nasdaq: ATRX), covering the exclusive distribution of Atridox® and Atrisorb® in Germany.

From 1 December 2003 onwards, curasan will be responsible for marketing and selling the products of Atrix Laboratories, which have already established themselves in the German market. Atridox® is a highly specific local antibiotic. Atrisorb® is a bioabsorbable membrane that is applied as a fluid. Both products complement the recently launched Cerasorb® Paro, creating a targeted product range for the treatment of periodontitis.

Atrisorb® represents the perfect match for curasan's product offering, allowing the company to establish a unique portfolio of pioneering solutions tailored to the full range of medical indications.

curasan AG has established itself as a major player within the area of Regenerative Medicine, boasting high-impact marketing activities in this field. In aggregate, the company expects to generate revenues of at least one million euros in 2004 with the two above-mentioned products. The new marketing and distribution agreement bears testimony to the fact that curasan AG's strategic realignment - focusing on the area of Regenerative Medicine - is already bearing fruit.
