Purity
Achieving phase purity is very important to us at curasan. Cerasorb has a purity of >99%. For this reason it has become the standard used by the International Center for Diffraction Data (ICDD) which all other β-TCP materials are compared to.

Below is diffraction data from 4 batches of another β -TCP bone regeneration material currently sold in the United States. You can clearly see that not only does the product contain significant impurities, but that the material is not constant from batch to batch. All batches contain hydroxyapatite, some have high levels of pyrophosphate or α-TCP, and some other unknown materials. None of these batches would have left our factory.
